Fischer Panda® Marine Generator - Premium Series

Fischer Panda’s range of voltage regulated asynchronous generators are designed to provide an extremely stable voltage supply. They are ideally suited for appliances and accessories demanding continuous power and high starting requirements such as air-conditioning units and compressors.

Fischer Panda® Premium Series generators are supplied with 3D sound insulation in a heavy duty GRP three piece capsule, all mechanical and electrical connections are fitted to the sound capsule base for ease of installation. When peace and quiet is your main focus, Fischer Panda® have a range of higher specification sound insulation options to suit your needs.

Premium (and HD) Line: Fischer Panda generators with VCS Voltage Control

The Panda Premium Line generators have been fitted for many years with the tried and tested VCS (Voltage Control System). The engine speed is progressively controlled and the generator can achieve up to 15 % more effective performance than a non-regulated generator. The VCS adjusts the voltage with a tolerance of  ±3 V in the range up to 80 % of the nominal performance. Controlling the speed also has a positive effect on exhaust emissions. The VCS and capacitors, used for boosting the starting current, are usually fitted inside an external AC control box.

Reliable and durable

The Panda offers all the advantages of the classic asynchronous generator. The asynchronous generator delivers high standards regarding both operational security and life. Therefore, the asynchronous generator is often the preferred choice when a high degree of safety and reliability is demanded. Fischer Panda warrants the rotor, often the most sensitive part of other generator systems, with a lifetime guarantee. Furthermore, the asynchronous generator continues to be the best suited for water-cooling as the copper winding is the only component that produces the heat via the stator. The electrical generator is warranted with a 5-year guarantee against corrosion.

Super-silent sound insulation system

Compact and lightweight design - quiet operation. Panda marine generators up to 25 kW are delivered with a GRP sound insulation capsule with “3D” sound insulation material as standard. The sound insulation material is available in three different versions depending on application requirements: “3D” - 3 layers, up to 25 mm thick

Compact, Lightweight and Quiet

Fischer Panda® are known around the world for class-leading compact marine and vehicle diesel generators. Featuring a highly efficient water cooling system Fischer Panda® generators are renowned for being lightweight, reliable and extremely quiet.

A diverse range of performance generators ranging in output from 3.8kW to 170kW are available in configurations to suit any application.

For efficient running, Fischer Panda® utilise a highly effective cooling system to ensure temperatures within the sound capsule remain within an acceptable range even in tropical conditions. Eliminating the requirement for free flowing cooling air improves sound insulation and greatly reduces engine noise. All Fischer Panda® marine generators employ a freshwater dual circuit cooling system to cool the diesel motor and the generator. A traditional seawater heat exchanger, manufactured from high quality alloy, cools the recirculating fresh water coolant to maintain constant temperature and optimise performance. Fischer Panda® vehicle generators use an external radiator which circulates normal engine coolant.

Super silent sound insulation

Fischer Panda® marine generators up to 25kVA are supplied with a GRP (Glass-Reinforced Plastic) sound insulation capsule lined with 3D sound absorbing material. This provides a sound level that is one of the lowest decibel outputs achievable for diesel generators. Optional 4D sound insulation material is available if even lower noise level is required. Marine generators above 25kVA are supplied with a stainless steel MPL (Metal Professional Line) sound capsule. The MPL casing consists of flat panels which are easy to dismantle and remove so that all parts of the generator can be accessed. Generators from 6.8kW can be supplied with the MPL capsule at an additional cost.

Water cooled engine and alternator

One of the reasons for the superior efficiency of Fischer Panda® is the very effective cooling system. It ensures that temperatures inside the sound capsule remain in an acceptable range in all conditions. At the same time, it achieves the best possible sound insulation as external cooling air flow is not required.

To prevent galvanic corrosion, Fischer Panda® use a dual circuit cooling system for generator and engine. The engine and generator are cooled by engine coolant. Seawater only comes into contact with the heat exchanger which is made from corrosion resistant cupronickel alloy.

Perfect sine wave

Fischer Panda® asynchronous generators supply a particularly clean sine wave and have achieved the best results during numerous tests in this category. This is essential for supplying power to sensitive electronic equipment, charging equipment and computers.

Marine Installation Kits - To keep the installation as simple as possible, Fischer Panda offers complete installation kits. The kits comprise all components that are needed for the complete installation of the cooling water, exhaust gas, and fuel systems of the genset. • Basic version -The basic version contains all components required for a standard installation
• Premium version - The premium version additionally contains an exhaust gas/water separator unit for greater demands concerning noise reduction. The exhaust gas/water separator unit strongly reduces the exhaust noise. The "water splash" in particular is eliminated. Additionally, the exhaust gas/water separator unit functions as an exhaust gas goose neck, which prevents the water from flowing back into the generator.
