    Heavy Duty - Mount Vertical or Horizontal - New 3 Groove Connection

    These NEW style connectors have 3 grooves for better connection and are now available with 3 different styles of plastic connectors - straight, 130 degree angled and 130 angled with on/off faucet on the connector. The straight plastic connector has a larger easygrip hand grip for simplified connection and disconnection of a deck wash pump supply and delivery hose. Styled much like a deck filler, this heavy duty quick connector is made from cast 316 stainless steel and clearly labelled “WASHDOWN”. The S/S deck fitting includes its own stop valve to shut the water off when the hose adaptor is removed. The new hose adaptors simply twist lock into the 3 groove deck stainless steel recepticle and the double ‘O’ rings assure a positive seal. A non-return valve located in the hose adaptor prevents water from spraying out when the adaptor is removed from the stainless steel deck fitting. The adaptor has a USA garden hose thread on the end so HoseCoil self-coiling hoses screw straight onto it. The S/S deck fitting has a 1/2” BSP female threaded inlet for supply water connection. Available in large straight easy-grip, angled 130 degrees and angled 130 degrees complete with on/off faucet on connector.

    Does the Deckwash Outlet require installation?

    Yes, it’s a flush-mounted outlet that sits within the wall, floor, or other surface you are installing into.

    Simply thread in any universal 1/2″ NPT fitting, depending on your type of plumbing (copper, PEX, or other). For the quickest and easiest installation, we recommend installing with PEX tubing. The optional elbow inlet can be positioned in any direction while keeping a watertight seal.

    What else do I need to install?

    You will need a 1.5″ hole saw, a 1/2″ NPT male-threaded plumbing adapter, teflon tape, and a philips screwdriver.

    Can I install it vertically?

    Yes! We use a heavy-duty swivel cover for this outlet that can be stepped on.

    Keep in mind that if it’s vertically mounted, it will not self-drain. This isn’t an issue if you’re installing on a boat or someplace warm, but if there’s a possibility of freezing then you’ll want to drain the valve.

    How much clearance do I need?

    About 3.5″ minimum with the optional 90° elbow inlet. If you add a plumbing fitting to the standard straight inlet, it’s about 4.5″ total.

    What is the flow rate?

    6.8 GPM @ 52 PSI.
