The Spectra Ventura series is engineered for the smaller vessel to be energy efficient, light-weight, and self-regulating. These watermakers are composed of compact modules, making for easy installation in confined spaces. The Ventura 150 operates anywhere in the world and delivers over 24 liters an hour. So can be run from solar, wind, or a small generator.

The differences in the manual and automated models - 

Manual model 

• This system has an analog controls with an instrument panel containing a feed water pressure gauge and a product flow meter.

Automated model

• The Ventura 150c features the new Spectra Connect controller, which allows you to operate and monitor your watermaker from a remote device. Spectra Connect also has new added features like the Fill Tank mode, or a customizable Auto Run mode, One-Touch Sensor Calibration, and suggested maintenance intervals displayed on the dashboard. The Auto Store button will automatically flush the system every 5 days, or add the Z+IONMembrane protection system to extend storage for 30 days.

Z-Ion Protection System for All Z-Ion Ready Systems / Z-Ion Protection System Retrofit Kit for Existing MkII Systems.

The Z±ION Membrane Protection System floods your watermaker with silver/copper ions that collect in the filters and membranes to prevent the microbial deterioration of the filter media and membrane.

The Z±ION prolongs the service life of filters and membranes without the use of aggressive chemicals.  The Z±ION goes into action automatically during the fresh water flush cycle and only needs to be repeated every 30 days.

All Spectra Ventura, Cape Horn, Catalina and Newport series watermakers are designed to be operated with the Z±ION.
